I have to admit, I didn't initially seek this movie out for any other reason than it had received 11 academy award nominations in 2012. Yes, the previews had a certain unique look to it, and yes, it was directed by Martin Scorsese but it didn't really pull me into the theatre like other movies do. But once the movie started I was captivated by the opening sequence. And as the story unfolded in a completely unexpected way, supported by great performances with such a vivid look, I knew this movie would become one of my favorites.
About halfway through the movie the focus shifts and it becomes an homage to the pioneer of cinema special effects: Georges Méliès. What would my series of movie caches be without paying tribute to this true visionary?
For this puzzle you will find yourself looking at a true turning point in cinema history. If you love movies as much as I do (or even if you don't), I hope you find this one educational from a historical perspective. And I hope that every time you step foot in a theatre you remember the pioneers that led to the magic we watch today!

Note: Due to spotty signal at GZ, coordinates need a modifier. AFTER you get the checker to green light then make the following modifications:
N: + .011
W: - .005
You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you get there if the location fits the theme of the cache.
