I'm not sure how old I was when I first saw John McClain matching wits and bullets with the Baddies of Die Hard, but I'm 100% sure I was probably too young :) But even so, it set into motion my love of action films as it was THE action movie of the day. So much so that it spawned an entire category of action movies known as "Die Hard on a <insert location>" To name just a few:
What made Die Hard so special though wasn't the action and wasn't the stunts, it was the humor and dialogue between hero and villain(s). That's what kept me coming back for viewing after viewing through middle school, high school, and college. I can't count the number of times I've seen this film but I can say its enough to probably quote the whole thing if asked :)
But enough about why its on my list...you've come for something else entirely. Good luck and...
- Air Force One - Die Hard on a Plane!
- Under Siege - Die Hard on a Boat!
- Under Siege 2 - Die Hard on a train!
- White House Down - Die Hard in the White House!
